Celebrating 110 Years of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars

Another year has passed during which members of the Rolls-Royce Enthusiasts' Club worldwide have joined together at events to enjoy driving and displaying their cherished cars within the camaraderie of the Club. Nothing is more rewarding than sitting behind the wheel of a Rolls-Royce or Bentley, looking along the bonnet and letting the mascot guide you along on your journey.

Almost every year we celebrate a significant anniversary, and 2013 was no exception. We marked the centenary of the 1913 Alpine Trial and 80 years since the launch of the Derby Bentley. Looking ahead to 2014, we will celebrate 110 years of Rolls-Royce - the theme of this Yearbook. With this in mind, the Club chapters in this book are dedicated to helping us appreciate the longevity, evolution and versatility of both Rolls-Royce and Bentley. These distinguished companies have produced motor cars for their select clientele over many years.

Rolls-Royce has also developed aero engines, from the early piston engines to the turbines we know today.

The archives held at The Hunt House contain records and photographs that document this history, and they are one of the invaluable resources available to Club authors when researching material for the Yearbook.

Today, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars at Goodwood and Bentley Motors at Crewe continue to delight the luxury car market with their state-of-the-art products.

The launches of their exciting new models in 2013 were good news, particularly in the improving world markets.
